Creating a Key Pair

Scenarios

ECS login is authenticated using a key pair. Before you create an ECS, you need to create a key pair.

Procedure

  1. Run the following command to create a key pair:

The value of public_ssh_key is the public key in the tenant's key pair.

    NOTE:

The key pair is provided by the tenant. To obtain key pairs on the server of the Heat client, run the ssh-keygen -f key pair name command to generate two files. The key pair name is the private key and the key pair name.pub is the public key.

    heat --insecure stack-create -f SAP-HANA-Resource-KeyPair.template -P "public_ssh_key=ssh-rsa AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAADAQABAAABAQDbAGP7NdR8AKVfoqQJW4Ugkrw9mH9UHyHzBI9BmyPTZIe0vgPMddN63pUvJdJOW5Kq8uSD9NtjhCMxMG7U0M9EABCOvPIi/Ry7dNa1Tmvi8BNXRsMVV5szURJYdhLgbrFWGXJ5vrmUHAi7CQPoUxOb3k8A5LMmrNZIuAduLjK572Bvx5LuJDUywUn79iM+CqPnqaHSbO92sH0CVsoWCCY9wykFPBFjLDIuXAmL0kN/N3BARwvj+PtPkVi+F+GPw2kpZE4Ob4IPegX9QrEdNOzhaKvvxQkdTtf14fSAYmDacvmstbyKrkfW0Ptg60UtCMJWyrr90IGOn8u+IwYrL8+j" saphana-keypair

  2. Run the following command to check whether the stack has been successfully created and record the name of the key pair:

    heat --insecure stack-show saphana-keypair
    • If the value of stack_status is CREATE_COMPLETE, the stack is successfully created.
    • The value of output_value in the outputs field is the key pair name.
