Creating a VPC

Scenarios

All ECSs in an SAP HANA system must be in the same VPC. Therefore, you must apply a VPC for an SAP HANA system and specify the subnet segment for the VPC.

Procedure

  1. Run the following command to create a VPC:

    heat --insecure stack-create -f SAP-HANA-Resource-VPC.template -P "fip_pool=admin_external_net" saphana-vpc

Variable admin_external_net indicates the external network configured on the router. You can run the neutron --insecure net-external-list command to obtain its value.

  2. Run the following command to check whether the stack has been successfully created and record the VPC ID:

    heat --insecure stack-show saphana-vpc
    • If the value of stack_status is CREATE_COMPLETE, the stack is successfully created.
    • The value of output_value in the outputs field is the VPC ID.
