(Optional) Installing the V5 Server Driver

Scenarios

This section describes how to install the X722 NIC driver so that BMSs can be provisioned on V5 servers. Skip this section for other types of servers.

NOTE:

The V5 server driver can only be installed for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2016. This section uses Windows Server 2016 as an example. You can install the V5 server driver for Windows Server 2012 using the same method.

Procedure

  1. Extract file I350&X540&X550&82599&X710&XL710&X722_win2k16_x86_64_v23.1\PRO40GB\Winx64\NDIS64 from the onboard_driver_win2k16.iso file in section Preparations.
  2. Mount the boot.wim image. For details, see step 4 in section Installing the Chipset Driver.
  3. Add the driver in the NDIS64 folder, save the change, and unmount the image. For details, see step 5 in section Installing the Chipset Driver.
  4. Mount the install.wim image. For details, see step 6 in section Installing the Chipset Driver.
