Application Restrictions

AS has the following restrictions:

  • Only applications that are stateless and can be horizontally scaled can run on ECS instances in an AS group. AS automatically releases ECS instances. Therefore, the ECS instances in AS groups cannot save application status information (such as sessions) or related data (such as database data and logs).

If application status or log information needs to be saved, you can save required information to an independent server.

  • AS requires authentication provided by IAM.

The AS administrator account requires permissions of the tenant guest, ECS administrator, CES administrator, and ELB administrator.

NOTE:

If the CES administrator is not available, you can only use an existing alarm to add an AS policy but cannot create an alarm rule. If the ELB administrator is not available, you can only use an existing load balancer.

The following table describes the AS service resource quotas.
